Skin lesion removal with Cryotherapy Oxfordshire

What is Cryotherapy?
Cryotherapy is a fast, safe, and highly effective treatment for the removal of benign skin lesions. Each treatment takes only a few seconds — typically 5 to 30 seconds per lesion — making it a quick and convenient procedure with minimal downtime.

In my clinic, I use the CryoPen®, an FDA-cleared medical device that delivers a precise, ultra-cold jet of nitrous oxide directly onto the lesion. This controlled freezing causes the targeted tissue to break down while leaving the surrounding healthy skin untouched. The result is accurate, gentle, and effective lesion removal.

Cryotherapy can treat:
-
Warts
-
Skin tags
-
Sun damage (pigmented lesions, age spots)
-
Verrucae
-
Cherry angiomas
-
Milia
-
And many other benign lesions

CRYOTHERAPY FAQ's

Is the treatment painful?
You may experience a brief stinging or tingling sensation as the nitrous oxide reaches the base of the lesion. This mild discomfort is short-lived and typically subsides within a few minutes after treatment.

Can moles be treated?
Yes, moles and keratoses can be treated only once they have been assessed by your GP or dermatologist. Written consent is required to confirm the lesion is benign and safe to remove.

How many treatments will I need? -
This depends on the size, type, and location of the lesion. Many lesions require only one session, though some may need follow-up treatment for optimal results.
Are there any side effects?

After treatment, the treated area may darken slightly or form a small scab as part of the natural healing process. This typically resolves within 4–6 weeks, revealing clear, healthy skin underneath.

Price - Starts from £65
depending on the size and number of lesions to be treated.
